JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Devonte D Hampton, 33, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle early Sunday. At about 1:18 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the North side of Jamestown. Through an investigation, officers determined that Devonte Hampton was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and violating an order of protection. He was being held pending his arraignment. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT -An 18-year-old Jamestown man was charged May 5 with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and resisting arrest. According to police, at 5:52 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress at a southside address. After investigation, it was discovered the male suspect engaged in a physical altercation with the victim. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Briana A. Winslow, 36, of Jamestown, was charged May 5 with second-degree harassment, and first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a southside address. Upon investigation, it was determined that Winslow, allegedly struck the victim, and spit in the victim’s face. Officers, police said, also discovered that Winslow had several active bench warrants issued by Jamestown City Court, and the victim had an active order of protection against Winslow. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Charles M. Apperson, 25, of Jamestown, was charged May 3 with second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. According to police, at about 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a southside address for a complaint of a person with a weapon. Through investigation, police said, it was discovered that Apperson allegedly was trying to give alcohol to juveniles in the area, and he was confronted by an adult male, and asked to stop. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Devin M. Berg, 40, was charged May 1 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing/blood flow. According to police, at about 9:47 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for a reported domestic incident. Following an investigation, it was determined that Berg allegedly choked and punched the victim.
