JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Richard A. Goodman III, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. According to police, at about 10:16 a.m., officers responded to a downtown business for a report of an unwanted male. It was determined that Goodman allegedly refused to leave, and was screaming in the lobby. Officers attempted to escort Goodman off the property, and at that point, he allegedly became combative. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Ryan P. Fitzgerald, 21, of Jamestown, was charged March 29 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and having no/inadequate lights. Officials said, at about 2:31 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. The operator was identified as Fitzgerald, and through further investigation, Fitzgerald allegedly was found to be driving while intoxicated. He will be Pomfret Town Court later. - Giovanni E. Corrigan, of Jamestown, was charged March 25 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal impersonation, and having outstanding warrants. According to police, at about 5:25 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Newland Avenue and Charles Street for observed traffic infractions. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — GERRY — A town resident is facing animal cruelty charges after Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies found a dead ball python in his residence. On March 19 at about 06:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a Route 380 address. After an investigation, it was found that Austin Billick, 23, neglected to care for the reptile, which was found deceased inside its enclosure with no food, water or heat source that is required for a ball python’s survival.
