JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Leslianette Febus Castro, 30, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest at 11:55 p.m. Thursday after a domestic incident on the city’s east side. Castro allegedly damaged property belonging to another person and, as officers tried to make contact with Castro, she allegedly ran away, leading police on brief chase before she was caught and taken into custody after a brief struggle. Castro was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she could be arraigned.
– Alexis S. Wakefield, 26, of Jamestown was charged with felony third-degree burglary and petit larceny at 10:06 a.m. at the Tops Markets at 2000 Washington St. after officers responded to a reported shoplifting in progress. Officers were flagged down and told a woman was walking south behind another business on Washington Street. Officers found the woman and identified her as Wakefield, who had allegedly stolen items from Tops and had previously allegedly been trespassed from the business. Wakefield was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
