SHERMAN — An accident near the Chautauqua Lake bridge on Interstate 86 led to charges for an Erie man. Around midnight Sunday, deputies responded to a reported vehicle complaint. The vehicle was reported to have almost struck another vehicle while traveling in the westbound lane. Deputies located the vehicle, still traveling westbound, in the town. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator was identified as 59-year-old Robert S. Schultz. Schultz was suspected of driving under the influence and was later charged. He was later released to return to court at a later date.
ELLINGTON — A town man is charged after an incident on West Hill Road early Sunday. At 2:36 a.m., it was discovered that Brandon R. Todd, 34, had damaged property belonging to another person at the residence. During the investigation, it was found that Todd also was in violation of a stay away order of protection.
He was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment on the charges of second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Tanya L. Paz, 40, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated after officers stopped her vehicle on Broadhead Avenue around 3 a.m. Friday after an alleged traffic violation. She was taken into custody and will answer charges at a later date in city court.
