CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

— POMFRET — At about 1:10 a.m. Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop on Route 60. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 30-year-old Mary F. Butts of Jamestown. Further investigation found Butts to be driving while intoxicated. Butts was taken into custody and transported to Pomfret sub-station for processing and additionally charged with DWI per se and speed over 55 in zone. Butts was later released and will be in Pomfret Court later.

— ELLERY — Just before 1 a.m. Monday, the Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office conducted a vehicle stop on Route 430. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 24-year-old Zacchaeus Kinsey of Jamestown. Further investigation found Kinsey to be driving while intoxicated and he had active warrants from The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Lakewood Police Department.

Kinsey was taken into custody and transported to county jail for arraignment. Kinsey was also issued tickets to be Ellery Court. He was charged with DWI, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone.

— PORTLAND At 1:36 p.m. Sunday, deputies stopped Paul H. Dietzen, 66, of Dunkirk, on Route 5 for allegedly speeding. An investigation determined Dietzen to allegedly be intoxicated. He was issued tickets for DWI, DWI per se, open container and speeding then released.
