JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Three individuals are facing drug charges after an incident in March.
Jamestown Police reported on Friday that around 11 p.m. March 28, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Maple Street and Everett Avenue for observed traffic infractions. Officers identified the occupants of the vehicle to be Debra K. Leeper, the driver, 56, Koran D. Leeper, 51 and Jordan E. Czerniak, 43. Officers could observe illegal drugs in plain view on Koran’s person and conducted a further search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located numerous items of drug paraphernalia including a digital scale with fentanyl residue and packaging materials.
Through further investigation, it was found that Czerniak was also in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and Debra Leeper was in possession of a quantity of cocaine. All three subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.
While in the city jail, it was found that Debra Leeper was attempting to conceal 12.7 grams of fentanyl and was also in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine individually packaged for sale. Koran Leeper was also found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl concealed on his person. Both Leepers were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Czerniak was charged with fifth-degree and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
— Gabrielle J Post, 35, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
At around 8:14 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for observed traffic infractions in the area of Winsor and Bush streets. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle to be Post. During the traffic stop, officers could observe drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a quantity of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Post was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
— Jeremy S. Gross Jr., 20, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, DWI per se, failure to keep right and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle
At around 08:27 a.m. Saturday, officers were notified of a vehicle driving all over the roadway in the area of Allen and Willard streets. Officers ended up locating the vehicle and witnessed several vehicle and traffic infractions.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and the operator was identified as Gross. During the investigation, officers determined that Gross was driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the City Jail where he submitted to a chemical breath test which resulted in a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
— Vanessa L. Figueredo, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
At approximately 1:39 a.m. Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Main and West Seventh streets. Officers observed one of the passengers to be Figueredo, who was known to have an outstanding warrant from the Jamestown Police Department for first-degree assault along with multiple other charges. Upon being taken into custody she intentionally discarded a quantity of crack cocaine in the road near the vehicle in an attempt to conceal the evidence. She was held pending arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— WESTFIELD — At around 2:42 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Adam S. Carpenter, 28, of Brocton. Further investigation found Carpenter to be driving while intoxicated. Carpenter was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed over 55 mph zone, and was later released with tickets to be in the Town of Westfield Court later.
