JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ A 16-year-old was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Officers responded at 4:40 p.m. on Monday to the east side of the city for a reported armed robbery involving a handgun. The vehicle was stopped, and the 16-year-old was reportedly located with a loaded handgun. The youth was transported to Jamestown City Jail to be processed and was later released with an appearance ticket.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Lauren M. Alfa, 18, of Mayville, was charged with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Alfa was taken into custody following a shoplifting incident Monday at Walmart. She was processed and is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SHERMAN — A traffic stop on Main Street led to charges for a town resident. At approximately 9:28 a.m. Tuesday while on routine patrol deputies stopped Edwin E. Hannold Jr. for a fictitious inspection sticker. The deputy was assisted on the stop by the New York State Police. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force was contacted to assist as well as members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Patrol. The subsequent investigation led to the seizure of over 15 ounces of illegal narcotics with a street value of approximately $16,000, a loaded handgun, and over $800 in cash. Hannold, of 8517 Alder Bottom Road, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a handgun, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, an inspection violation and second-degree aggravated operation. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment program.

Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods. ¯ VILLENOVA — Angela Chesbro, 32, of Villenova, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and two counts of second-degree harassment. Deputies responded at 5 p.m. on Sunday to Bartlett Hill Road in the town of Villenova for a report of a disorderly person. Chesbro reportedly became physical with two deputies and another person. Chesbro allegedly damaged property owned by another person. She was later taken into custody.

¯ KIANTONE — Craig A. Mccullen, 56, of Buffalo, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and no/inadequate headlamps. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 9:04 p.m. on Monday on Route 60 in the town of Kiantone for a reported traffic violation. An investigation found that Mccullen was allegedly driving the vehicle in an intoxicated state. He is scheduled to appear in Kiantone Town Court later.

¯ HANOVER — Around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to an address for an altercation. Through in an investigation it was found that Frederick Mead, 44, of Forestville, did physically harass two subjects in the presence of a juvenile. Mead was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and will answer to his charges at the town of Hanover Court later.
