Frewsburg Fire Company Sets ATV-SXS Rally, Dice Run

FREWSBURG – Members of the Frewsburg Volunteer Fire Company have 100 reasons to celebrate soon.

The fire company is turning 100 and to celebrate its birthday, the members are hosting an all-terrain rally and birthday bash at the Blue Building Frewsburg Fireman’s Carnival Grounds, located at 25 Hazzard St. from at 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. starting June 15.

“This is an extremely popular event and we’ve had several people sign up already,” said Christopher Lynn at a Town of Carroll board meeting. “The cost is $25 per person, and children under 12 are free with an adult paid admission. Helmets are required.”

The route for this “ride” is 70 miles long and will take participants through a variety of scenic views and touch parts of Pennsylvania before returning to the starting point for live music, food, games and more.

“This 70-mile trip will take riders through the Enchanted Mountains of Frewsburg, South Valley and extending into Northwestern Pennsylvania, villages of Russell and Scandia,” said Lynn. “At the various stops, participants will be testing their luck to win a $1,000 payout and other prizes.”

Lynn also spoke about various other prizes, and other fun activities for not only the riders but family members as well.

There will also be a Chinese auction, raffles and a gun raffle. Entertainment include DJ Payne from 1 to 5 p.m. followed by Smokin’ 45 from 5 to 9 p.m. Dry camping is available from Friday at 4 p.m. until Sunday at 11 a.m. at a cost of $50 per camper or tent (pre-registration is required). A beer tent will also be available. All proceeds will benefit the Frewsburg Fire Company.

Lynn also went on to explain some of the rules during the ride and events that are currently in place.

“All participants must sign a waiver; those 18 and under need parental permission; no alcohol permitted on the ride route; No motorcycles, dirt bikes, golf carts or e-bikes will be allowed; ATV/UTV must be insured; use of helmets or seatbelts is required, and the speed limit is 25 m.p.h.,” he explained.
