Antique bottle collecting was the featured topic at a recent meeting of the Mayville Library Tuesday Club. Hanover Historian Vince Martonis spoke and displayed an array of 19th century bottles, many of them from Chautauqua County, such as Dr. Fenner’s and Dr. Pettit’s from Fredonia, a rare American (eagle) Creamery from Dunkirk, and Dr. Burnside’s Purifico from Forestville. Tuesday Club members have been meeting for over 100 years.
