(5:30 PM) Man’s Boat Capsizes In Warren County, Facing Drug Charges

WARREN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man is facing charges shortly after his boat capsized in the Allegheny River in Warren County, Pa.

Pennsylvania State Police and Warren City Police were called Sunday at 8:30 p.m. to a report of a man yelling for help near 16 Driftwood Drive in Pleasant Township, just outside the city of Warren, Pa.

Upon arrival, police learned that a boat had capsized in the river behind the residence and that those on board had become separated. Two people, including 60-year-old Samuel Oyler of Kane, Pa., were evaluated by first responders but declined further medical treatment, state police in Pennsylvania reported Monday.

The pair was transported to police barracks in Warren to wait for a ride, at which time Oyler was reportedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia. No further information was provided, though state police said an investigation remained ongoing.
