Spring Break and Eclipse Weekend movies will show this week at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

A Spring Break weekday matinee of the animated film Migration shows Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Mallard family is in a bit of rut. While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids–teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen–the whole wide world. After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, while teaching them more about each other–and themselves–than they ever imagined. Migration is rated PG and is 91 minutes long.

A 25th anniversary Eclipse Weekend showing of the sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest shows Saturday at 4 p.m. For four years, the courageous crew of the NSEA protector – “Commander Peter Quincy Taggart” (Tim Allen), “Lt. Tawny Madison (Sigourney Weaver) and “Dr. Lazarus” (Alan Rickman) – set off on a thrilling and often dangerous mission in space … and then their series was cancelled! Now, 20 years later, aliens under attack have mistaken the Galaxy Quest television transmissions for “historical documents” and beam up the crew of has-been actors to save the universe. With no script, no director and no clue, the actors must turn in the performances of their lives. Galaxy Quest is rated PG and is 102 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies @ The Reg include Anthony Hopkins in the historical drama One Life (Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m.), the science fiction/fantasy epic Dune: Part Two (April 13 at 4 p.m.) and a special engagement of the 2004 cult classic comedy Napoleon Dynamite (Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m.) followed by a live, in-person conversation with two of the film’s stars – Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez.

Tickets to Movies at The Reg are $7 for movies and $6 for family films, with an additional $1 theater restoration fee added. Special movie engagements are priced differently. They may be purchased from noon to 5 p.m. Monday and Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at 716-484-7070 and online at reglenna.com.
