Jamestown High School has named its Students of the Year.

Grayson Bloomquist, a freshman at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Jill and Jamie Bloomquist. Grayson plays JV Volleyball and JV Softball. She is a member of the Southern Tier Volleyball Club. She is also in Mixed Chorus and will be in A Cappella Choir next year. She participated in the musical Fiddler on the Roof in the ensemble. She is a dancer at Dancing With Victoria (DWV). After high school, she plans to attend college.

Sydney Maggio, a sophomore at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Chris and Mary Maggio. She is involved in several extracurricular activities, including the JHS A Cappella Choir. Sydney is also involved in Student Organization and her class’s Student Council as the treasurer. She also spends her time volunteering through the Key Club. Sydney plans to attend college after high school and follow a medical career path.

Jacob Smeraldo, a junior at Jamestown High School, is the son of Jill and Patrick Smeraldo. Jacob is the captain of the Jamestown Cross Country and Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field teams. In his spare time, Jacob volunteers with Toys for Tots and Collaborative Children’s Solutions. After graduation, he plans to attend JCC for his Associates Degree and then transfer to another in-state university to study Biochemistry.

Annika Spitzer is the daughter of Nick and Jill Spitzer. She is the co-president of the senior class. Annika is a member of the A Cappella and Madrigal choirs, co-public relations officer in Jamestown’s National Honor Society and a student member of the Jamestown School Board. Annika plans on attending St. Bonaventure in the fall with a major in strategic communications.
