Landmark Restaurant Hosts Luncheon For Students

The Landmark Restaurant was the site of a business luncheon Oct. 24 sponsored by the eighth-grade students, teachers and administrators at Falconer Middle School.

The luncheon provided the opportunity for the students and staff to thank the many volunteers and funders who make Junior Achievement possible at Falconer Middle School.

The students also had the opportunity, through a panel discussion, to ask career-related questions of their invited guest.

Junior Achievement is a curriculum-based program that brings community volunteers into the classroom to teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, plus career awareness and workforce readiness skills to students in Kindergarten through grade 12.

The Falconer Middle School students and staff would like to offer a special thank you to Pati Centi and her staff at the Landmark Restaurant for hosting the business luncheon. They would also like to thank the following volunteers and funders who make Junior Achievement possible at Falconer Middle School:Blackstone Advanced Technologies; Chautauqua Region Community Foundation; Cummins Inc.; Holmberg Foundation; Lenna Foundation; Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation; Jason Stronz, Courier Capital; United Way of Southern Chautauqua County; Amanda Braley; Matthew Mazgaj, Phillips Lytle; and Andrew Hill, Media One
