The October meeting of the Doll Study Club was held Oct. 19 at Alfie’s Restaurant, and consisted of a business meeting, during which upcoming programs for the 2013-14 season were discussed and finalized for much of the next year.

There are still several months open for programs and any member interested in filling them would be welcome at this time. After the meeting and lunch the club held its annual October Auction, during which members enjoyed auctioning off items they were ready to clean out of their own closets, while other members bid on those same items to use in filling any little holes still remaining in their own spaces at home. Proceeds are donated to the club to be used during the year for needed expenses.

The November meeting will be held Saturday, and the program will be a Paper Doll Fashion Show, with all members participating. Also to be noted is a Doll Show and Sale presented by Emeritus at Lakewood at their facility Wednesday from 2-4 p.m., with several members of the club attending. The address at Emeritus is 220 Southwestern Drive in Lakewood and open to the public.
