Region’s Foliage Is Past Peak

Chautauqua County foliage will be mostly past-peak with 90% color change and very brilliant yellow, red, orange and gold leaves, field reports from volunteer spotters for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NY program report. Some trees are beginning to shed leaves, and travelers should find peak and just-past-peak conditions along Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie, and throughout the county’s rural countrysides. Foliage is now past-peak in Cattaraugus County, with 100% leaf change with shades of orange and brown, and some interspersed red leaves.
