Municipal Band To Perform Today At Allen Park Bandshell

The Jamestown Municipal Band will perform at 7 p.m. today at the Allen Park Bandshell, featuring “Broadway Lights, Hollywood Lights.” The Allen Park Women’s Club concession stand will be selling hot dogs, popcorn, penny candies and homemade fudge.

Sprague Hill Road To Close Today Until Aug. 1

POLAND – County Route 65, Sprague Hill Road, in Poland, near the end of Dry Brook Rd, will be closed to all traffic effective today, July 8. A detour will be posted. The road is expected to remain closed until Saturday, Aug. 1.

Infinity Student Art Show Opens July 10 At Pearl City Clay House Gallery

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Inc. will present its annual juried student art show at the Pearl City Clay House, opening Friday with an opening reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Pearl City Clay House Gallery is located at 220 E. Second St. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibit features original works by Infinity student artists of all ages, including sculpture, illustration, painting, and more. Sponsors include ART Cloth + Craft, Axiom, Bluebird and Blue Art Studio, Chautauqua Art Gallery, Courier Capital, Jamestown Area Community Federal Credit union, Karen Weyant, Merrill Lynch of Jamestown, Saxton, Kocur and Associates, SKF, Three Sixty Graphics, and Wegmans. The exhibit will remain on display at Pearl City Clay House through July 31, and is viewable during regular Pearl City Clay House business hours.

Prendergast Library Crafting Set For July 11

The James Prendergast Library will host all-ages crafting from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 11. This month attendees will be making dinoprint molds and bookmarks. Use premade Cricut cutouts to design a own dinosaur print bookmark or sticker. Materials will be provided. There is no cost to attend. Ladies Of Lake View Cemetery Walking Tour To Be Held July 11

The Fenton History Center’s next walking tour on Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m. is the Ladies of Lake View Cemetery. Led by local genealogist Janet Wahlbert, the tour includes 13 women who have impacted the development and growth of Jamestown. The tour covers 200 years of local history walking through Lake View Cemetery. Those attending should meet at the cemetery office. Parking is available on the streets around the cemetery. The cost is $8 for members and $12 for non-members. Participants can pre-register online, in person at the Fenton, or by phone at 716-664-6256. There is a limit of 20 people for each tour. The tours throughout the summer are of Allen Park, Jamestown’s Hidden Alleys, Jamestown’s Industrial Past, a military tour of Lake View Cemetery, Lucy’s Downtown, Churches tour, and the Ladies of Lake View Cemetery. Authors To Hold Book Launch Party July 11 In Cassadaga

Randolph Cheerleaders To Hold Pancake Breakfast July 11

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School cheerleading team will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 11, at the Randolph Fire Dept., 70 Main St., Randolph. Breakfast is $10. Kiantone Congregational Church To Host Bible School Starting July 11
