Library Board To Meet On Wednesday
BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Library will hold a board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library. The public is welcome to attend.
Local Jeweler To Host Workshop
Local jeweler D’Arsie Mae will host a workshop at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Lakewood Memorial Library to create a unique necklace from buttons. Bring a button collection to create a personalized piece of jewelry. Some buttons, thread and clasping components will be provided. The workshop is free of charge but space is limited. Kindness Through Flavors Benefit Is
Saturday
A Kindness through Flavors benefit for Javier Santiago will be held from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at REALiFE Church, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown. The fundraiser will include food trucks, crafts and vendors, and an auction. Tickets for a collaborative dinner from local restaurants are $15 each. Tickets are available at The Art of Flavors, 679 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown.
Norden Women’s Club To Host Luncheon
The Norden Women’s Club will host a member-guest luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Marvin Community House. Social time begins at noon, with lunch served at 12:30 p.m. The program will be presented by native Swede and Norden Women’s Club member, Maria Malmstrom, on how to make a traditional Swedish dish, which will be the lunch for the day. Library To Host Walking Tour
Of Riverside Cemetery
KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library will host a historic walking tour of Riverside Cemetery in Kennedy. Located on Route 62 in Kennedy, the new event will take place from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the event. Children under 10 years old are free. There will be a campfire with smores and hot cocoa available for the attendees as well. Candidates Forum To Be Held In Fluvanna
FLUVANNA — A meet-the-candidates forum will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Fluvanna Fire Hall, 3536 Fluvanna Ave., Fluvanna. The forum will be a non-partisan event that will offer an opportunity to meet and interact with candidates running for office in the community. All candidates wishing to represent Fluvanna or seeking election to any other position within the town of Ellicott are invited to the event.
