School Board Meets Today

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6:15 p.m. today in the Jefferson Middle School auditorium, 195 Martin Road. The public is welcome to attend.

Bridge Work To Close Westfield Road

WESTFIELD — Hawley Street in the town of Westfield, between Route 394 and Route 5, will be closed to all through traffic beginning Wednesday. The closure is due to a bridge replacement project. The closure will remain in effect until the replacement bridge is completed and barricades are removed.

Historian To Speak To Randolph Historical Society

RANDOLPH — Hanover historian Vince Martonis will present a program about collecting antique bottles at the Randolph Historical Society meeting on at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be held at the Randolph Town Hall, 70 Main St. Martonis will display 19th century medicines, beers, fruit jars, mineral waters, whiskeys, inks, and more, many of them from Western New York. There will be free handouts. Attendees are invited to bring old bottles for historical evaluation by Martonis. Refreshments will be served.

Frewsburg School Board Meets Thursday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the middle-high school multi-purpose room. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact the district clerk by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling 716-569-7041 or emailing lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org

Rodeo City Senior Citizens To Hold Lunch

GERRY — The Rodeo City Senior Citizens will hold a luncheon at noon Friday, June 9, in the United Methodist Church in Gerry. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to share with others, and their own table service. A program will follow. New members and guests are welcome to attend.

Marco Polo Club To Host Spaghetti Dinner

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Salad inclusion based on availability. Take-out dinners will be available. The drive-through will not be available.

Fenton Canteen Planned For

Saturday

Fenton Canteen will be held on June 10 at the Fenton Mansion, 67 Washington St., Jamestown. Canteen is always held on the second Saturday morning of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. New veterans are always welcome. Commander Bill Johnston, VFW Post 53, will speak about his experiences in searching for veterans who went missing in a certain location.
