York Road Work To Begin Wednesday
HANOVER – Construction crews will be rehabilitating York Road/Allegany Road, County Route 95, between County Route 93 and just north of the intersection with County Route 89, starting Wednesday. The road will not be closed. Expect lane closures with flaggers and signage during the weekday hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A detour will not be posted. Drivers should plan on taking an alternate route.
County Parks Commission To Meet Thursday
The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will have its July meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday at Erlandson Park on Oak Hill Road in Frewsburg. The meeting is open to the public.
Myers Library To Host Bigfoot Investigator

FREWSBURG – The Myers Memorial Library will host Mike Familant, a producer and lead investigator of Bigfoot, Friday at 5:30 p.m. Familant will share his experiences researching and tracking down the truth behind Bigfoot. Familant has been researching Bigfoot for more than 13 years and has captured some impressive evidence along the way.

Commission Meets Thursday
The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will be having its July meeting on Thursday at Erlandson Park on Oak Hill Road in Frewsburg at 4 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
CLA To Host Open House
July 27
The Chautauqua Lake Association will host an open house on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club, 43 E. Lake St., Lakewood. The public is invited to take part in casual conversation with some of the lake organizations that help preserve, protect and maintain Chautauqua Lake. Coffee and danish will be served. Special guests include aquatic biologist Melanie Rooney;Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and the Chautauqua-Conewango Consortium. There will also be information on boater safety, local fishing groups, harmful algal blooms and highlights about the history of Chautauqua Lake. Chautauqua Lake Association watercraft stewards will be available for conversation, there will be demonstrations of CLA equipment and services. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.

Conservancy To Host Walk And Talk July 27
ASHVILLE – The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and Western New York Partnership for Regional Invasive Species will be holding an educational “Walk and Talk” at the David and Margaret Naetzker Preserve located at 5036 Route 474, Ashville, on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to noon Participants will get a guided tour of the preserve and learn about some of the invasive species encountered on the walk, including their impacts, management, and more.
