Reunion – Today
The Harmony Historical Society will host a Carpenter Cousins reunion from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the society’s headquarters at 1943 Open Meadows Road, Blockville. There will be hot dogs and refreshments available while supplies last. Even those who do not know they are part of the Carpenter family can stop by and learn more about the history of the Carpenter family and about Blockville itself.

Concert Series Continues Wednesday
The Allen Park Concert Series continues with big band music featured Wednesday in the Allen Park Goranson Bandshell at 7 p.m. The concert scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, will be the children’s concert with the Balloon Man making his unique balloon creations for the children. The refreshment stand is available with hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, penny candy and the Allen Park Women’s Club’s homemade fudge.
Ellington Library To Host Home Alone Safety Course
ELLINGTON – The Ellington Farman Library, with instructors from the Chautauqua Safety Village, will present a Home Alone Safety Course for all children in third through eighth grades on Wednesday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The free course will explore four topics that comprise the home alone safety plan: kitchen safety, fire safety, first aid and personal safety. Children will develop an awareness of dangers in the kitchen, they will learn how to respond if there is a fire in their home, they will learn basic first aid procedures and how decision making in an emergency can affect their safety. SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to participate in musical adventures at the library with jam sessions led by Rico Garfalo on the following Thursdays at 6 p.m.: July 25 and Aug. 29. Those attending can sing or play instruments to make music. Audience members are also welcome, so please come to listen and encourage participants. A Yamaha electric keyboard and an acoustic guitar are available for use during jam sessions. Family Sing Along will be held on Monday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. led by Hope Fredrickson. Stop The 22 To Hold Annual Fundraiser
Aug. 18
BEMUS POINT – The Stop the 22 non profit will have their annual event on Aug. 18 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Bemus Point Tap House. This year the special event will be a walk. The community is encouraged to participate in the walk. The group will do a 3-mile loop around the tap house. The founders will be walking for 22 hours straight.
