AOC To Hike Champman Dam

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike at Chapman Dam on Sunday. The group will hike around the lake and look at the storybook trail. Members are asked to meet at the warming hut parking lot by 2 p.m. Linda Ross will be the leader for the hike and can be reached at 814-726-5298 or 814-688-5908 for any questions.

Lake Sewer Districts To Meet

The administrative board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Tuesday, April 5, at the water pollution control facility. Those interested in joining the meeting by video conference can call 646-558-8656 with the meeting ID 999-449-0210.

Auto Club Installs New Officers

The Chautauqua Lake Region of the Antique Auto Club recently installed new officers. They are Jim Sackett, treasurer; Alistair Oag, president; Nancy Rudny, vice president, Steve Hatfield, secretary, and Greg Press, publicity. The club meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the War Vets in Fluvanna. New members are welcome and owning an antique car is not a requirement. In addition to donating to many charitable organizations, there are a number of outings, tours and car shows that the club participates in each spring, summer and into the fall.

Village Board To Host Meeting

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will hold a work session meeting at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, April 11, in the Firemen’s Exempt Hall, 3 Coleson Dr., Falconer. The annual budget hearing and organizational meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the same location.

DAR To Meet Thursday In Westfield

WESTFIELD — A general meeting of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson Library in Westfield.

History Society To Meet

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will hold a maple sugar meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Sinclairville Fire Hall dining room. Enter by the front door. This will be the first meeting of the year. Warm maple syrup will be given to each person and asked to stir the warm syrup until it turns into maple cream. Crackers will be provided for putting on the maple cream. Pickles will be provided to take away the sweetness. All those attending are asked to bring a small bowl and a spoon to stir the syrup. President Larry Barmore will conduct the meeting. Everyone is welcome.

Conference Set For June

FREDONIA — The Hope and Healing Conference of Western New York returns for its eighth year on Thursday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Williams Center on the campus of the State University of New York at Fredonia, 280 Central Ave., Fredonia. The event will include a keynote speaker, “FRED” talks and plenary sessions discussing prevention, treatment and recovery of the behavioral health challenges facing Chautauqua County and the Western New York region. This year’s conference will explore the theme, “Connecting for Hope and Healing,” focusing on shared partnerships, resources, triumphs and concerns as a community. Hope & Healing of WNY will feature Dr. Matt Bellace as its keynote speaker. Registration is required in advance and cost of attendance is $15 per person. Registration includes a boxed lunch.
