Family Worship On Wednesdays At 5:30 p.m.

Christ First United Methodist Church, 663 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown, will host family worship on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. There will be a meal, crafts for children, music and a lesson. New Garbage Pick-Up Time

CELORON — Due to a mechanical failure and the inability to secure replacement parts, garbage in the village of Celoron will be collected today beginning at 3 a.m.

Adoption Hours From 12-3 p.m. In Dunkirk

DUNKIRK — The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday. For those who are not vaccinated, masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times on the grounds of LHS. Masks are optional for those fully vaccinated. Those who are ill or have tested positive for COVID are asked to delay a visit. Tours of the facility will not be given. The Cat’s Meow Boutique will be open for purchases by the public. Program Will Be A Virtual Concert

FALCONER — Due to rising COVID-19 concerns, the 2021 Falconer Community Christmas program, featuring musicians and pastors from Falconer area churches, will be presented on YouTube as a virtual concert. The live performance will be streaming at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, and will also be available afterward as a recording. To watch the concert on or after Dec. 17, go to youtube.com and search for “Our Lady of Loreto Falconer NY” to find the channel and the video titled “Falconer Community Christmas Program 2021.”

Annual Christmas Lunch At The Falcon’s Nest

FALCONER — Ross Grange members will have their annual Christmas lunch at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall, Dec. 13. The catered meal will be at 1 p.m. Those attending should bring items for Toys For Tots. Reservations to Opal Sprague are needed by Dec. 8. Each person should bring “a childhood Christmas memory” for the program. The recent luncheon meeting included reports of the craft fair by Betty Wakefield and Mary Jane Griffith. Cards have been signed for the Blue Star Mothers’ boxes. They will receive a donation from the grange to help with postage. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. Wakefield. A thank you was received from the Chautauqua County Humane Society for the blankets for cat cages. Blankets and toys have been delivered to the Salvation Army for the women’s shelter.
