Celoron Legion Hosting Band

CELORON — Now that restrictions have been lifted, the Celeron American Legion will be hosting the band Smokehouse on Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Dinners will be served from 5-8 p.m., with snacks available until 10 p.m.

AOC Bicycle Ride Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes from Marienville to Leeper on Sunday. The ride will be an out-and-back of about 26 miles and can be a shorter ride if needed. Most of the trail is paved. The group will meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1:30 p.m. Greg Burkett will organize the ride and can be reached at (814) 730-4686 with questions.

Hazeltine Library Meeting Tuesday

BUSTI — The monthly meeting of the Hazeltine Public Library board will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library. Members of the public are welcome but are asked to call the library at 487-1281 and make a reservation so CDC guidelines can followed. The library is located at 891 Busti Sugar Grove Road, Busti.

TEA Party To Host Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Dr. Ken Erickson will return to further discuss COVID-19 and issues related to the vaccine and other matters pertaining to mask and vaccine requirements for students in schools. There will be time set aside to mobilize and activate committees to work locally in the schools, media and lobbying. Updates also will given by Roy and Karen Harvey on the solar panel and windmill development.

South Dayton Hosting Concert

SOUTH DAYTON — The village of South Dayton will host a concert by Paul Zittle and Pure Country from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the South Dayton Gazebo on the Village Green. Refreshments and crafts will be available. Those attending should bring their own lawn chairs. Then, on Saturday, the farmers’ market will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Village Green. Events sponsored by the village of South Dayton.

Post 53 Hosting Painting Party

The John W. Tiffany Post 53 Auxiliary is sponsoring a painting party fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave. Those who wish to attend do not need to be an auxiliary member. Those participating will complete a 14-by-14-inch patriotic canvas. All materials are included. The cost of the class is $25 and proceeds will be donated to the building fund. To sign up and pay for the class go to Facebook and search Let’s Create with Paint by Anita or contact Anita Eriksen at 720-2999. There will be hot dogs for sale and beverages or soft drinks may be purchased at the club.

Lake Agency Hosting Meeting

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua Lake Protection and Rehabilitation Agency will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 1, in the gym of the Chautauqua Municipal Building, 2 Academy St., Mayville. The meeting will be in person and open to the public. Those attending must comply with existing COVID-19 guidelines.
