Reader Believes In The Power Of Choice

To The Reader’s Forum: As a staunch libertarian, I believe in the principle of choice for many aspects of our nation and the use of vaccines is one of them. This should be left to the discretion of parents. Personally, if I had children I would want them to have the vaccines. What I would prefer before those administering vaccine clinics to send parents a form identifying them of its availability with yes and no boxes to be returned. If the yes box is checked, it would obviously mean approval. If the no box is checked, the child is not to be vaccinated, period. If parents ...

History Repeats For Baseball Family

To The Reader’s Forum: On Sunday, June 2, my wife and I attended a high school Section 6, Class C playoff game at Diethrick Park. The setting was beautiful, the weatherman finally cooperated and the game between two local schools, Frewsburg and Falconer, was well played. Falconer won the game, 4-2. It was a good win for the Falconer High School and their program. The Falconer coach, Chris Schrader, decided to pitch his son, Ben, for this important game. To The Reader’s Forum: This letter is an expression of my sincerest thanks to all those involved in the successful application of herbicides in permitted portions of Lake Chautauqua. I’ve lived on this lake, either as a part time or full time resident, most of my life and am witnessing first hand the positive changes brought by this treatment. Community Shoud Be Proud For Contributions To The Reader’s Forum: I attended the awards night ceremony at JHS a few nights ago. Sally Black and I, representing the class of 1950 awarded two $1,500 scholarships with a possibility of two more in a like amount to the recipients. Several other classes have followed our lead, and established their own programs. We followed several others who announced the recipients of their own scholarships.
