Help Me Decide On Another Four Years

To The Reader’s Forum: I know this guy. He seems to have a lot of friends. Not sure why. This guy seems to lie about almost everything. Even when he doesn’t have to. I have to admit, this guy is very creative. He is good at making up stuff right off the top of his head. Stuff that often has no basis in reality or fact. Well that’s OK I guess. Facts just get in his way. This guy does show respect and support for others; unless you happen to be black, brown, gay, female, an immigrant, handicapped, an environmentalist, the press or anyone else who happens to disagree with him. ...

Town Of Carroll Goes Above And Beyond

To The Reader’s Forum: Community Helpers has been the final theme in our Kindergarten classrooms for the last few years. This year it appeared that we would not be experiencing anything that we had done before. Our community walking trip was going to have to be canceled. Just one more disappointment in this crazy time. But the town of Carroll, where RHJ Elementary School is located, went above and beyond. At the Myers Memorial Library, they have three librarians who are wonderful! To The Reader’s Forum: On Sunday, June 7, 2020, Linda and I attended a Black Lives Matter rally at Dow Park. Many years have passed since we attended a local gathering to promote a social justice cause. Except this time was different, not only because of the potential adverse impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, but because of the cause. We’ve supported anti-hunger efforts, environmental efforts, anti-war efforts and promoted the plight of people abroad, but we hadn’t really done much about the plight of black people in America in spite of how enlightened we consider ourselves. ...

Cuomo stated, based on the same criteria as medical experts, it will be individual behavior, at least until a proven effective vaccine is created, that determines how successful America is in controlling the impact of Covid-19. New Renewable Siting Law Passed To Fix A Broken Process

To The Reader’s Forum: Readers of your May 12 article “Legislators Opposed to Fast Tracking Energy Projects” were undoubtedly left with the impression that the new renewable energy siting law cuts out local government input, which simply isn’t the case. The new law is designed to improve a siting process that was expensive, took years to navigate, and was costly and often frustrating to both developers and local governments.
