A Nation Without

Boundaries Is A Swamp

To The Reader’s Forum:

As we celebrate July Fourth, let us remember the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.

They believed in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. During this whole process they acknowledged their dependence upon God, who is the source of those things. They were willing to lose their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for the sake of this country.

When news of their Declaration reached New York City by July 9, 1776, it started a riot! While hundreds of British naval ships were in the New York harbor, George Washington read the declaration out loud in front of city hall. A rowdy crowd of onlookers cheered and later tore down a nearby statue of King George III. Later the statue was melted down and formed into more than 42,000 musket balls for the newly formed colonial army!

America’s founders would be ashamed of the current crop of self-serving politicians who proclaim love for country while they ignore their oath to defend this country from enemies both foreign and domestic. Even worse, they dismiss God and promote godless policies which will incur God’s wrath while mouthing their empty words, ‘God Bless America’ A nation without moral boundaries and laws becomes lawless. A river or a nation without boundaries becomes a swamp.

God forgive America.
