CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE — VILLENOVA — Ricky E. Vento, 50, of Forestville, and James W. Lewellyn, 43, of Angola, were each charged with making a punishable false written statement. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 11 was investigating an incident on Dye Road in the town of Villenova where written statements were taken from Lewellyn and Vento. An investigation found that Lewellyn and Vento both allegedly provided false statements in regard to the investigation. Both are scheduled to appear in Villenova Town Court later. Tuttle, 35, no address listed, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant Wednesday on charges of second-degree criminal contempt, petit larceny and second-degree harassment for an incident that occurred Aug. 25, 2023. — Jacob W. Fishgold, 21, no address listed, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Police responded Feb. 10 to a reported domestic disturbance in Celoron. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Tracey L. Wynn, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, broken windshield and open container. Officers stopped a vehicle at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday on Park Street for a traffic violation and found that Wynn, the operator, was allegedly in an intoxicated condition. Victim identified in Villenova accident VILLENOVA — The victim has been identified in a fatal utility vehicle accident late Saturday. In a news release issued early Wednesday, deputies said William L. Shreve, 64, of Westfield was the operator of the vehicle. At around 11:36 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and South Dayton Fire Department responded to Dye Road for a reported motor vehicle accident. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Steven A. Gustafson Solinger, 34, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. A vehicle was observed at 7:07 p.m. Friday traveling on Fluvanna Avenue without headlights or tail lights. Gustafson reportedly appeared to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. Gustafson Solinger’s level of impairment and BAC of 0.0% did not coincide with one another and a drug recognition expert then conducted a drug influence evaluation.
