Freshman Trocki Pours In Career-High 31 For Bears

FREWSBURG — Freshman Jadyn Trocki had a career-high 31 points to go along with seven assists, six steals and three rebounds as Frewsburg coasted past nonleague Panama 83-22 in girls basketball Thursday.

Taytum Jimerson added 20 points, seven assists, five steals and four rebounds, while Teghan Trocki chipped in 15 points, three steals and three rebounds for the Bears (6-2), who led 35-2 after the first quarter and 57-11 at halftime.

Kaitlyn Horton led the Panthers (0-8) with 12 points, Kiera Loberg had six rebounds and Kylie Morgan had two assists.

PIRATES JUMP ON TOP EARLY

CLYMER — Clymer led 19-3 after the first quarter and beat nonleague Forestville 58-26.

Alexys Neckers led the Pirates (6-0) with 18 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals and seven assists. Ava Nyweide chipped in 13 points and five rebounds, while Elli Bodamer had 9 points and seven rebounds, and Janelle Burchanowski tacked on 9 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Carilene Sliwa led the Hornets (0-7) with 18 points and three steals. Ingrid Gibson grabbed seven rebounds and Justice Yarborough grabbed six.

KARNES HAS BIG NIGHT

SILVER CREEK — Khloe Karnes had 16 points, seven steals and three assists, while Gracie Williams added 11 points, 10 steals and four rebounds as Silver Creek beat nonleague Cattaraugus-Little Valley 49-18.

Gracelin Stevens chipped in 9 points, five steals and four rebounds, while Lucille Jimerson grabbed six rebounds and four steals for the Black Knights, who led 13-4 after the first quarter and 22-9 at halftime.

LAFFERTY SEALS WIN AT LINE

ELLICOTTVILLE — Madisyn Lafferty connected at the free-throw line late as Salamanca held off nonleague Ellicottville for a 38-33 victory.

The Eagles (2-3) jumped out to a 14-8 first-quarter lead, thanks to 6 points from Natalee Leiper, who finished with a team-high 10 in the game.

Ellicottville still led at halftime and after the third quarter, but the Warriors (6-0) outscored the hosts 11-3 in the final eight minutes.

Karina Crouse and Makenzie Crouse both scored 11 points to lead Salamanca.
