Dellow Shines In Wolverines Win
WESTFIELD — Haleigh Dellow had another monster game, and Westfield/Brocton made a pair of late defensive stops to hold off Silver Creek 40-39 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West game.
Dellow scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and had five blocks, four steals and three assists to help the Wolverines (5-12, 1-8) to their first division win.
Tanleigh Bestine added 14 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two blocks, and Jena Vacanti grabbed seven boards for the winners.
Abby Rice led the Black Knights (10-8, 2-7) with 11 points, Maidre Arenas had 9 and Malani Eldridge added 8.
Westfield/Brocton led 22-14 at halftime, but Silver Creek rallied after the break during which there were five lead changes in the last 90 seconds of the fourth quarter.

BEAVER POURS IN CAREER HIGH
Reece Beaver and Claire Pikett put on quite a show Saturday afternoon at Southwestern Central School.
Beaver, the Trojans sophomore guard, scored a career-high 36 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds as Southwestern beat nonleague Holland 74-57.
Pikett did all she could for the Lady Dutchmen (11-7, 9-2 ECIC Division 4), scoring 35 points and grabbing 16 rebounds while handing out a pair of assists.
Kira Ricker added 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while Bella Sirianni had 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the win.
Holland led 37-29 at halftime before the Trojans (12-4, 8-0 CCAA D1 West) took control with a 24-10 third quarter.

SOUTH DAYTON — Alyssa West scored 11 of her game-high 27 points in the first quarter to help propel Pine Valley to a 67-20 East Division victory over Forestville.
The Panthers, who led 24-6 after the first period, are now 7-9 overall and 6-3 in the division.
Trista Farnham grabbed nine rebounds, and Mattison Cadle and Kaitlyn Hayes both had six steals for the winners.
Brooke Waterman led the Hornets (0-14, 0-9) with 12 points.

EAGLES SUFFER FIRST LEAGUE LOSS
SALAMANCA — Karina Crouse scored two baskets in overtime as Salamanca handed Ellicottville its first East Division loss, 56-53 on Saturday afternoon.
Lezly McComber led the Warriors (8-9, 7-3) with 13 points to go along with four rebounds; Crouse had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals; and Bella Wolfe had 10 points, seven rebounds, six blocked shots and three steals. Jillian Rea chipped in 8 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.
Dalayla Alexander led the Eagles (12-6, 10-1) with 17 points and Emilee Ruiz had 12.
Ellicottville led 27-26 at halftime before Salamanca took the lead with a 14-11 third quarter.
Salamanca’s “Swish Away Cancer” event raised over $1,800 for local food pantries and Roswell Park Cancer Institute in honor of Coach Mark Chase.

BRINK LEADS PANAMA
WESTFIELD — Mandy Brink scored 24 points, including 13 from the foul line, to lead Panama to a 51-40 Division 2 West victory over Westfield/Brocton.
Brink also had six steals and four assists for the Panthers, who jumped out to a 14-2 lead after the first quarter and connected on 24 of 49 free throws for the game.
Kylie Morgan and Katelyn Horton each had seven rebounds for the winners.
The Wolverines were led by Haleigh Dellow, who scored 16 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, blocked 10 shots, and had six assts and three steals. Markartnee Mortimer added three blocks and Tanleigh Bestine had three steals.
