ELLICOTTVILLE — The tandem of Nick Munella and Jake Currie have a one-shot lead entering today’s final round of the 55th annual Italian-American Charity Golf Association Tournament at Holiday Valley Resort.

After shooting an opening-round 62 on Thursday, Munella and Currie fired a 65 on Friday for a two-day total of 127. Tied at 128 are the teams of John Calimeri and Andrew Caselman, and Paul Mole Jr. and David Lobb after both pairings fired a 62 yesterday.

Nine other teams are within five shots of the lead.

Bill Malenga and Salim Sarvaiya are at 129; Joe Frangione and Tyler Nelson, Anthony Gullo and Jake Dwaileebe, and Busty Triscari and Steve Johnson are tied at 130; first-round leaders Casey Digirolamo and PJ Degnan stand alone at 131; and five teams are tied at 132 — John Salvaggio and Jayden Schultz, Dennis Palermo and Bernie Auer, Pete Pillittieri and Andy Sandstrom, Sam Triscari and Dave Rowe, and John Panebianco and Tom Yocum.
