GAME 16

PUYALLUP PREVAILS

The Pacific Northwest Regional Champions Puyallup, Washington lit up the scoreboard to get their first win of the tournament against Western New York State champion Buffalo, 21-9.

Puyallup jumped ahead early, scoring four runs in the first two innings and going up 4-1. After scoring another five in the fourth inning it looked like Puyallup would pull away, but Buffalo was resilient — scoring three in the bottom of the fifth and then scoring five in the fifth after Puyallup scored six in the top half of the inning, making it 15-9.

Unfortunately for Buffalo, the bottom of the six was the last inning they could hang with Puyallup, going scoreless the rest of the way and surrendering another six runs to lose 21-9.
