Rebels To Meet Wilkes-Barre Scranton Tonight

The Jamestown Rebels will host Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7:05 tonight for their first home game of the North American Hockey League Season at Northwest Arena.

Coach Joe Coombs and company will look to correct a two-game skid, as they stand at 1-4-0-2 on the year after dropping their previous two games on the road last weekend against the Northeast Generals.

The New Jersey Titans lead the East Division at 6-2, while Wilkes Barre/Scranton is in a three-way tie for second place with a 4-3 record.

The Knights have lost four in a row, losing to Maryland 7-3 and 5-2 at home last weekend.

Nate Clark leads the Rebels in scoring with a pair of goals, while both Matt Hubbarde and Matt Stoia have a goal and two assists through seven games.

On Wednesday the Rebels announced that they had traded forward Nik Norman to Minnesota in exchange for forward Valentio Passarelli. The Macomb, Michigan native has one goal and one assist in three games played so far this year.

Noah West has led the Rebels between the pipes so far this year, and currently holds a 1.48 goals-against average and a .952 save percentage. Jon Howe has played in two games for the Rebels. Both West and Hubbarde were honorable-mention choices for the East Division Stars of the Week.
