To the Reader’s Forum: Ten years ago. Tiger Woods was at the pinnacle of his golf career but then he lost his wife, health, name and golf game. He went through hell and his game was seen as good as dead. Last Sunday at the Masters, he showed that he still had the heart, mind and perseverance of a champion. To The Reader’s Forum: Naturally, I strongly agree with President Trump that our southern border must be secured and an impenetrable wall built as soon as possible to help stop illegal immigration. Every nation has the inalienable right to protect it’s own sovereignty, in perpetuity. To The Reader’s Forum: Farm Women United (FWU), has issued an unequivocal condemnation of the dairy provisions of the 2018 Farm Bill. To The Reader’s Forum: We, both as a city and as a state, are in a downward spiral. Locally, bad decisions made in city governance have brought us to our financial distress. I believe that the mayor and the city council are trying to rectify past missteps, but part of that must include coming back to the table and reaching sustainable agreements.
