To The Reader’s Forum: In 2009 grass roots groups all over the country started what would become the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party movement. These nonprofit groups have been dedicated to promoting the principles of individual freedom, economic freedom, smaller government, less spending, and a debt free future for America. The Mueller Report Should Be Public

To The Reader’s Forum: On Sunday, March 24th, the U.S. Attorney General’s Office issued a letter to congress about the Mueller report. U.S. Attorney General, William Barr, concluded that evidence of obstruction of justice was insufficient to charge the President of the United States. Special Counsel Robert Mueller, according to Barr’s letter, did not make a prosecutorial judgment. In fact, the Special Counsel said in his report, “While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” Since the Justice Department is not ...

Reader Questions Leniency To Manafort

To The Reader’s Forum: Much concern has been expressed by the decision reached by Virginia Judge T.S. Ellis regarding Paul Manafort’s sentence on charges of bank fraud, filing false tax returns, hiding tens of millions of dollars in income and failure to report foreign assets. The United States Sentencing Commission recommends guidelines for sentencing to judges. In Paul Manafort’s case, they recommended from 19.5 to 24 years of jail time.
