What’s The Plan?

To The Reader’s Forum: In Chautauqua County we have had very few cases of coronavirus thanks in part to our low population and doing our best at staying apart. That could all change as tourism season ramps up. Does Chautauqua Institution have a plan? Does Chautauqua health services have a plan? Do our hospitals have a plan? If they do, great. But based on the media coverage, or lack of, I’m worried that Chautauqua County will experience its peak in cases in July. What’s the plan? David Ensminger, Ashville

To The Reader’s Forum: In Margot Russell’s column, “A Game Changer for Coronavirus,” in the Weekend Life section, April 11, credit is given to President Trump’s touting of the use of Hydroxychloroquine in saving the life of Michigan State Rep. People With Vacation Properties Have A Right To Them

To The Reader’s Forum: The people who own vacation properties in Chautauqua, or other places in Chautauqua County, have a right to stay in them whenever they want to. They paid for the property, pay taxes here, buy our goods and services when they are here, so even though we might fear the spread of a virus, they have the right to go to their property, when they want to.
