There Are Many Reasons For United Methodist Split

To The Reader’s Forum: Jeff Winton’s article “Disappointed with Disaffiliation” sadly misrepresents the true reason for several churches in Chautauqua County leaving the United Methodist Church. The LGBTQ+ is not the main reason for disaffiliation. These churches are not “opposed to the teaching of Jesus.” Everyone is welcomed in their churches. They may not fly flags and paint their entrance with a rainbow, but it doesn’t mean all people are not welcome. People’s Focus On Health, Hygiene Didn’t Last Long

To The Reader’s Forum: One might think COVID would have made people more conscious of health and hygiene and maybe even a little more considerate in their public behavior. Apparently not. Yesterday, right in front of me, going in a local supermarket, also known as a food store, an old woman plunked her long haired dog right in the basket part of the grocery cart.
