He was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on July 14, 1949, the son of Aloysius and Helen Bancuski Allenbrand.

Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Cassadaga High School and was employed as a custodian at Sinclairville Elementary school for 43 years, where he was loved and respected by all and he retired in 2014. He was a member of South Stockton Wayside Chapel.

He is survived by his best friend and eternal love, Susanne Schweizer, whom he married on Aug. 1, 1981 in Leon; two sons: Joseph Allenbrand, Winchester, Va.. and Staff Sgt. John (Mindy) Allenbrand, Clarksville, Tenn.; three daughters: Jean (Nathan) Eback, Cross Junction, Va., Debra Allenbrand, Buffalo, N.Y., and Rebecca Allenbrand, Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Cameron and Sydney Eback, Cross Junction, Va., and Bentley and William Allenbrand, Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Anthony (Diane) Allenbrand, Sinclairville; four sisters: Gail Rankin, Forestville, N.Y., Yvonne (Ronald) Karr, Jamestown, Cecil (Charles) Pacos, Brocton, N.Y., and Dorothy Panzarella, Jamestown.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in South Stockton Wayside Chapel. The Rev. Phil Shay will officiate.
