Dorse-Carter, 24, a resident of the Chautauqua County Jail was charged Monday with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies allege that they seized a quantity of methamphetamine after they searched the cell housing her. She will answer to the charges in the Chautauqua Town Court at a later date. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Michael E. Kranking, 40, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 2:30 a.m. May 8. At 11 a.m. Friday, officers were called to a Jamestown home for a report of a physical incident involving a 2-year-old child. A witness told police Kranking had thrown the child, with the child hitting its head and experiencing pain. Kranking was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. - Rashaun M. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT --- Chelese E. Pattyson, 31, was charged with making a punishable false written statement. At around 11:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the east side of the city for an alleged assault. Through an investigation the alleged victim lied to officers and stated she was assaulted by a male subject. The male subject is currently incarcerated in the Chautauqua County Jail and unable to commit the alleged crime. Pattyson did sign a statement making false accusations. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Jakiera Wright, 19, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident which took place Thursday. Officers responded to an address in the southside of the city at 4:06 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute in progress. It is alleged that Wright smashed a “bong” onto the victim’s cell phone causing it to shatter. JAMESTOWN POLICE - A Jamestown woman faces charges after a domestic incident involving an infant. Police officers responded to the area of West Fifth and Clinton streets at 9:58 a.m. Thursday and were told by a witness that a woman was seen throwing a small child on the ground while in an argument with a man near Baker Park. The child was not injured, according to a police report. The woman, later identified as Annikka G. Coulter, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
