Carlson, 38, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday after officers performed a warrant check at a southside address for Carlson as part of a GIVE detail. Upon making contact at the residence, officers spoke with Carlson and advised him of his outstanding warrant. Roman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 3:32 p.m. Feb. 13 after officers responded to East Second Street near Winsor Street for a reported fight. Officers report seeing Roman throw items at a passerby’s vehicle before trying to flee the scene when contacted by officers. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Two city residents face charges after police broke up a reported burglary. At 6:10 p.m. Thursday, city police participating in a Gun Involved Violence Elimination detail responded to a south side home for a reported burglary in progress. Officers saw a man jump out of a second story window behind the home while police also found a woman in the home. Patrick Dhondt, 49, was charged with second-degree burglary fourth-degree criminal mischief while Katherine P. Hartman, 36, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Sole A. Thomas, 22, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 1:49 a.m. Thursday after city police responded to the north side of Jamestown for a fight. Upon arrival officers report seeing a large crowd and an active fight. After investigation it was found that Thomas allegedly assaulted another person and injured the other person. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Dominic L. Canale, 22, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 5 p.m. Thursday after city police officers were conducting a warrant check on the city’s south side. Officers report seeing Canale in a person’s home knowing Canale had a valid stay away order of protection with the victim. Canale was charged, prompting a police search during which officers allegedly found a small amount of methamphetamine. Canale was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. - ...

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — ELLERY — After 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 430. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Drew C. Whidden, 46, of Bemus Point. Further investigation found Whidden to have been driving while intoxicated. Whidden was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI (BAC .18 or higher), and moving from lane unsafely. He will be in town court later.
