CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — PANAMA — On Feb. 2 at about 11:56 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the report of animal cruelty which occurred on Niobe Road. After an investigation it was found that Heather Carlson did sell five ducks that were not properly cared for. Two of the five ducks passed away before they could receive medical attention. The three remaining ducks were euthanized due to the condition that they were in. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - John M. Colon, 56, of Jamestown was charged with tampering with physical evidence, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and vehicle and traffic infractions after officers working on a Gun Involved Violence Elimination detail pulled a vehicle over at 9:19 p.m. Thursday on Washington and West Fourth streets for traffic violations. Colon allegedly threw a small bag out of the driver side window that reportedly contained a quantity of cocaine. Police report additional cocaine was also found inside the vehicle. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – NORTH HARMONY – Two people were arrested when deputies attempted to take into custody a person with an outstanding warrant. According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday at around 9:50 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Old Bridge Road. Upon investigation deputies identified Nyren L Graham, 27, of Jamestown who was known to have active bench warrants from the city of Jamestown Court. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT Around 6 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Jamestown Police Department with a hit and run accident. Deputies checked the area of 4911 Baker St. Ext. for the suspect vehicle which was located in the ditch. Further investigation found that Courtey M.
