CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

— FRENCH CREEK — A physical altercation on Friday afternoon led to charges for a Clymer resident.

Around 1 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Backerink Road. An investigation found that Jordan M Taylor, 23, engaged in a physical altercation with another subject at the address. Taylor was also found to have threatened that subject with a dangerous instrument.

Taylor was charged with second-degree menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment. Taylor was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.

— PORTLAND — A noise complaint led to a disorderly conduct charge for a town woman on Saturday evening.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report they responded to an incident around 9:30 p.m. on Webster Road. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with 30-year-old Christina R. Trippy. While deputies where on scene Trippy became disorderly and resisted arrest.

Trippy was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail to await arraignment. She also was charged with resisting arrest, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
