CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

≤ BUSTI — An Erie woman is facing charges after allegedly being found with methamphetamine after a traffic stop last week.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported on Sunday that patrol stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic violation on Baker Street Extension in the town of Busti around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The operator was identified as Britney L. Randazzo, 32.

Further investigation and search of the vehicle found that Randazzo was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine. Randazzo was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended.

Randazzo was released with appearance tickets directing her to be in the Town of Busti court later.

≤ BEMUS POINT — At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Chautauqua deputies on patrol stopped a vehicle for an observed traffic violation on Main Street in Bemus Point. The vehicle operator was identified as Michael E. McMahon, 38 of Hamburg.

An investigation found that McMahon was intoxicated while operating the vehicle. McMahon was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se having 0.08% or higher B.A.C., refusal of pre-screen alcohol test, and fail to signal turn. McMahon was processed and released with citations directing him to be in the Town of Ellery court at a later date.

≤ SHERMAN — At about 5:20 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a property damage accident on Bailey Hill Road. Upon arrival deputies identified the operator of the vehicle involved to be Abigail E. Kirsch, 41, of Olean.

Upon further investigation it was found that Kirsch had been operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state.

Kirsch was taken into custody and charged with DWI common law, refusal to take a breath test, and unsafe backing. Kirsch was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending CAP arraignment. She will be in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date to answer to her charges.
