CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– KIANTONE – Jason A . Genberg, 39, of Frewsburg was charged Sunday night with fourth-degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that Genberg kicked in a door of a Kiantone residence, creating damage.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Francicso G. Zavala, 32, of West Ellicott was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, speed in zone and passing a red light on Sunday. Officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle which allegedly passed through a red light and was speeding on East Second Street at 2:14 a.m. Sunday. Officers report that Zavala was allegedly intoxicated and arrested. He was taken to the city jail and released with several tickets to appear in court later.

– Joseph B. Trippe, 24 of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest Sunday evening. Officers observed Trippe walking around Main Street near West Fifth Street at 7:56 p.m. Sunday. Officers report Trippe had outstanding warrants with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. When officers informed Trippe that he had outstanding active warrants, Trippe allegedly tried to run away. Officers chased Trippe and caught him around West Sixth and Cherry streets. Trippe was then issued an appearance ticket and turned over to representatives from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

– Shelly L. Holmstrom, 52, of Ashville was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal trespass following an incident Sunday evening. Officers responded to a north side residence for an alleged complaint of harassment at 9:39 p.m. Sunday. During the investigation officers report that Holmstrom entered another person’s home and allegedly hit the person in the face several times. Holmstrom was charged and taken to the city jail. Holmstrom will be in court later.

– Charles H. Karr Jr., 49, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and third-degree assault following an incident Sunday morning. Officers responded to a reported domestic dispute on the east side of the city at 1:50 a.m. Sunday. Officers report Karr allegedly punched a person in the face before leaving. Officers located Karr allegedly hiding in a bush a short distance away and took him to the city jail. Karr will be in court at a later date.
