JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Melody E. Lebowitz, 26, of Jamestown was charged on May 21 with second-degree criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At 11:44 p.m., police responded to a 127 Barrows St. address for a possible trespass. Upon arrival, police found a running vehicle and made contact with two individuals inside. One of the individuals-Lebowitz- allegedly identified herself as Morrissa Lebowitz multiple times. She reportedly admitted that her name was Melody Lebowitz and resisted arrest. It is also alleged that she had a controlled substance. She was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

DEPARTMENT

John W. Devine, 46, of Ashville was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt after allegedly violating an order of protection. Further investigation alleged that Devine had two additional warrants out of other jurisdictions. He was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

A 17-year-old female was charged Wednesday with petit larceny after allegedly stealing an iPhone 6 case valued at $44.99 from the Radio Shack in Chautauqua Mall. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Todd D. Breninghouse, 50, of Celoron was charged on May 7 with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Breninghouse got out of his vehicle at a red light at the intersection of Hunt Road and Southwestern Drive and began to harass the driver in front of him. He will appear in Ellicott Court on June 3 at 6 p.m.

Rodney E. Thomas, 50, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree grand larceny and unlicensed operation. After police responded to a stolen vehicle report in Celoron, they eventually located Thomas operating the stolen vehicle a short distance away.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Nichodemius N. Tuttle, 23, and Kristie Zavala, 24, both of Jamestown, were charged following a domestic dispute alleged to have occurred Saturday. At about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to 195 Baker St. for reports of a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that Tuttle and Zavala allegedly attacked a female who lived at the residence, reportedly punching and kicking the female victim until she went unconscious before fleeing the area. Officers responding to the call located Tuttle and Zavala, and took them into custody. The female victim was evaluated by Alstar Ambulance Services, which determined that she did not need professional medical attention for the injuries she suffered. Tuttle and Zavala were transported to Jamestown City Jail. Tuttle and Zavala were both charged with third-degree assault, while Tuttle was additionally charged with felony aggravated criminal contempt for having an order of protection placed against him to stay away from the victim, as well as felony aggravated family offense because he has previously been convicted of a family offense.

Zachariah R. Sobkowski, 31, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with petit larceny after he allegedly left Tops Markets on Washington Street with merchandise that he did not pay for. Sobkowski was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI

POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD – Blake D. Smith, 40, of Lakewood received a multitude of charges following an incident occurring Friday. At 5:10 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject on Hern Avenue in the village of Lakewood. Upon arrival, officers observed a gray Chevrolet Impala leaving the area and failing to signal a turn onto West Fairmount Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle on West Fairmount Avenue and, while speaking with the operator, Smith, observed a controlled substance in plain view inside the vehicle. Smith then drove away at a high rate of speed, leading officers on a vehicle pursuit down West Fairmount Avenue and into the town of Busti. Smith then exited his vehicle and led officers on a foot pursuit before eventually being taken into custody. Smith was charged with: third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony; criminally using drug paraphernalia; obstructing governmental administration; unlawful fleeing; unlawful possession of marijuana; driving while ability impaired by drugs; two counts of speed in zone; two counts of a failure to signal turn; failure to keep right; reckless driving; driving across hazard markings; unlicensed driver; moving from lane unsafely; refusal of breath screening test; failure to comply with lawful orders; and unsafe start. He was arraigned in Busti Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on no bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Allan B. Burnett, 24, of Buffalo was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated and failure to yield to pedestrians in crosswalk. At 3:25 p.m., police observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Prendergast Avenue that allegedly did not slow down while nearing the traffic light at the East Eighth Street intersection. Although the vehicle eventually stopped, two pedestrians had to back up onto the sidewalk. Police recognized the vehicle from a “be on the lookout” bulletin issued Wednesday for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. After pulling over the vehicle at the intersection of Washington and West 11th streets, police determined that the driver-Burnett-was allegedly intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is awaiting arraignment.

Christopher C. Conklin II, 21, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. At 2:50 a.m., police were investigating an incident and were about to check Conklin when he allegedly ran away through some backyards on Prendergast Avenue. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Conklin was allegedly wanted on a bench warrant with the Jamestown Police Department. He was taken to the city jail and is awaiting arraignment.

Phillip Clark, 25, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with felony DWI and criminal possession of a controlled substance. At 3 a.m., police observed a vehicle traveling in an erratic manner. It is alleged that the driver-Clark-was intoxicated and was in possession of mushroom pieces -later identified as hallucinogenic mushrooms. Clark was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Samantha J. Sargent, 35, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with failure to stop at stop sign, no/inadequate lights, no/improper turn signal, open container in a motor vehicle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, felony DWI and felony DWI with blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent. At 3:30 a.m., police observed a vehicle allegedly fail to stop at a stop sign, fail to use its turn signal and turn on its headlights. It is alleged that the driver-Sargent-was intoxicated and had an open 24-ounce Bud Light can inside her vehicle. It is also alleged that Sargent had a suspended driver’s license and a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years. She will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

Maurice E. Cheatom, 21, of Buffalo was charged Saturday with aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe lane change, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unnecessary noise. Markel Hilson, 19, of Buffalo was charged Saturday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Shortly after 1 a.m., police observed a vehicle playing loud music traveling east on West Third Street. The vehicle allegedly made unsafe lane changes on East Second Street before turning onto Foote Avenue. It is alleged that the driver-Cheatom-had a suspended driver’s license and possessed cocaine. Hilson allegedly possessed cocaine and marijuana as well. More than $1,600 cash, four grams of cocaine and a small quantity of marijuana were allegedly seized during the investigation. Both will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Travis R. Terry, 24, of Randolph was charged with petit larceny after security footage allegedly caught him stealing items from an Ellicott business. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Bryan D. Knapp, 38, of Falconer was charged Saturday with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation after allegedly placing his hands around a victim’s neck and obstructing breathing and blood circulation during a domestic dispute in Falconer. Knapp was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 property bond. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Morgan K. Manning, 19, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, was charged Sunday with DWI common law and DWI with BAC of .08 percent or more following a vehicle accident in West Ellicott. Manning will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Sonya M. Bingham, 39, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with petit larceny after allegedly stealing $64.52 worth of merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Sean E. Munday, 26, of Ashville was charged on May 14 with driving while ability impaired by drugs, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane and unlawful possession of marijuana. At 11:25 p.m., police observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Forest Avenue Extension in Busti allegedly crossing the center line and hazard markings multiple times. It is alleged that the driver-Munday-was under the influence of drugs. Munday will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Samantha R. Rushforth, 18, and Teanna K. Morano, 18, both of Jamestown, were charged on May 15 with petit larceny after allegedly concealing merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart and leaving the store. They will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Zulenka M. Fuentes-Cruz, 34, and Angel L. Cruz-Cruz, 37, both of Jamestown, were charged Saturday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after allegedly failing to scan $417.10 worth of merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart at the self-checkout aisle. It is also alleged that they damaged $184.75 worth of meat and seafood due to the food being out of a cooler for an extended period of time. They will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jomary B. Cintron, 30, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with petit larceny. At 3:13 p.m., police responded to 194 Fluvanna Ave. for an alleged larceny of a cellular phone from a cart. Police arrived on scene and observed a woman take the phone via a surveillance video. The victim was reportedly able to use an “app” to track her stolen Apple iPhone. The phone was tracked to 552 Crescent St., where officers apprehended Cintron and seized the phone. Cintron will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Robert A. Hallett, 29, of Falconer was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. While investigating a separate incident on West Main Street in Falconer, police could allegedly hear a female screaming from 416 W. Main St. It is alleged that Hallett got into a verbal argument with the female victim over her not being ready in time for a birthday party. Hallett allegedly picked up and threw a laundry basket at a mirror, causing it to shatter. Hallett was taken into custody and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Nichole A. Verrett, 27, and Keirstin L. Haight-Ormsby, 19, both of Jamestown, were charged Saturday with petit larceny after allegedly conspiring to under ring $62.06 worth of clothing and other merchandise at a store self-checkout line. Both will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

William J. Tarbrake, 63, of Lakewood was charged May 5 with petit larceny after allegedly entering the Lakewood Wal-Mart and concealing $12.96 worth of food under his jacket. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Anthony J. Whippo, 21, of Jamestown was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to stop at a stop sign, moving from lane unsafely and expired inspection. At 12:03 a.m., police on patrol on Orr Street Extension allegedly observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and move from a lane unsafely. The driver-Whippo-was allegedly intoxicated. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

RANDOLPH-Eugene J. Kibbe, 73, of Randolph was charged May 4 with second-degree harassment after an alleged verbal altercation at a 3246 Bunker Hill Road address. He will appear in Coldspring Court at a later date.

OLEAN-Christopher R. Kelley, 18, of Allegany was charged April 29 with second-degree attempted assault and third-degree attempted burglary after he was apprehended at the Olean County Building for violation of probation. He is being held on probation.

STATE POLICE

Jennifer R. Knuth, 42, of Frewsburg was charged Sunday with driving while impaired with drugs and failure to dim high beams following a traffic stop for allegedly failing to dim her high beams on Route 60 in Jamestown. After interviews and field sobriety tests, Knuth was charged. She will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT-James H. Boardman, 27, of Gerry was charged Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and inadequate muffler following a traffic stop for an alleged loud muffler on Route 60 in Ellicott. Boardman allegedly possessed heroin and was charged. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

A 17-year-old Jamestown male was charged Thursday with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. At 2:55 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute at 209 1/2 Forest Ave. It is alleged that the 17-year-old male punched and kicked his 14-year-old sister multiple times. He also allegedly took a phone from her as she tried to call the police. The male was located a short distance away and taken to the city jail. He was reportedly with a 17-year-old female who was a runaway from the Gustavus Adolphus Children’s Home in the city. The male will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Carrie Ann Ennis, 47, of Celoron was charged Wednesday with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Vincent M. Surace, 34, of Celoron was charged Wednesday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after allegedly stealing and damaging merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Henry J. Garcia-Oquendo, 31, of Jamestown was charged after allegedly stealing a cellphone from a Kmart in West Ellicott while working as an employee at the store. She will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

SALAMANCA-Julie Oakes, 32, of Salamanca was charged on April 21 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The charges were filed after a traffic stop and search of Oakes in Salamanca by members of the task force, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and Salamanca Police Department. Oakes is being held in Salamanca and is awaiting arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Deborah M. Canada, 24, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child. At 6:29 p.m., police responded to a Forest Avenue address for a child reportedly walking in the road. Police were advised that the 2-year-old child was almost hit by a vehicle. Police found the child and retuned him to his mother-Canada. She will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

Christine M. Redding, 35, was charged Monday with fugitive from justice. At 9:54 p.m., police responded to a call at 246 Willard St., where they located Redding allegedly hiding in a bedroom of the apartment. It is alleged that Redding had several warrants out of Warren, Pennsylvania. She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Douglas J. Houser, 21, of Sherman was charged Monday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after allegedly stealing and damaging property belonging to the Lakewood Wal-Mart. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

POMFRET-Carl N. Frantz, 24, of Celoron was charged Saturday with aggravated driving while intoxicated with blood alcohol content of .18 percent or more, DWI, no headlights and parking on highway. At 11:04 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Porter and Webster roads in Pomfret. It is alleged that the driver-Frantz-was intoxicated. He will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date.

POMFRET-A 16-year-old male was charged April 29 with disorderly conduct after allegedly acting reckless and disorderly at the LoGuidice Educational Center. The teenager will appear in court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

FREDONIA-Robert Boe, 20, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with underage possession of alcohol after being pulled over on East Main Street in Fredonia for failing to dim headlights. It is alleged that Boe was in possession of four cans of Bud Light beers. He will appear in Fredonia Court on May 20.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wade J. Paulisick Jr., 18, of Jamestown was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, DWI, failure to keep right, unlicensed operation, reckless operation, failure to comply and open container. At 3:57 a.m., police observed a vehicle traveling northbound on North Main Street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle allegedly swerved around another vehicle while in a no passing zone. The vehicle was pulled over on I-86 just east of the Jamestown exit. It is alleged that the driver-Paulisick-was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit. He will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

David N. Holmstrom, 19, of Ashville was charged Sunday with first-degree criminal impersonation. At 3:02 p.m., police responded to an East Second Street address where a victim reportedly received a harassing phone call. It is alleged that the caller was a man impersonating a police officer. He claimed that the victim was under arrest. Police determined that Holmstrom made the phone call, and that he had posted a video of himself on Facebook making the call. He was located with the assistance of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department and transported to the city jail. He will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Cory James Keeler was charged Friday with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly stealing food and clothing from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. It is alleged that the stolen property was damaged during the incident. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

Steven R. Villa, 55, of Lakewood was charged Friday with theft of services. At 2:26 a.m., police responded to Ohio Avenue in Lakewood for a theft of services complaint. It is alleged that Villa refused to pay an employee of Rainbow Cab a fare. He will appear in Busti Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Derae L. Luce, 45, of Jamestown was charged April 23 with trespass for allegedly going through a dumpster on the property of Aldi. He will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Steven L. Hinson of Jamestown was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt. At 5 p.m., police responded to the report of an unwanted person located at 2115 Peck Settlement Road in Jamestown. It is alleged that Hinson was violating an order of protection. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Damen M. Raynor and Wendy J. Karash, both of Jamestown, were charged with second-degree harassment after allegedly using vulgar language, making threats and initiating physical contact with their aunt in the cemetery at 2831 W. Oak Hill Road. Both Raynor and Karas will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER – Stephen L. Devaul, 28, of Lake View was charged Sunday with speed in zone, refusal of breath test, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher. At 3:21 a.m., deputies on patrol allegedly observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 20 in the town of Hanover. Deputies conducted a traffic stop for the observed traffic violation, and it is alleged that the driver, Devaul, was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Devaul was taken into custody for processing, and was later released to a sober party with an appearance ticket. He will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.

GERRY-Rochelle C. Digirolamo, 42, of Sinclairville was charged Friday with petit larceny. It is alleged that Digirolamo stole a white envelope containing prescription medications from a Gerry residence on April 1. She will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.

SHERMAN-Paul T. Downey, 33, of Clymer was charged Saturday with DWI, aggravated DWI with BAC of .18 percent or higher, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, consumption of alcohol in motor vehicle and refusal to take pre-screen breath test. At 12:25 a.m., deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle parked on Clymer-Sherman Road in Sherman. It is alleged that Downey was intoxicated and had a suspended driver’s license. He will appear in Sherman Court next month.

HANOVER-Ben Catalino, 19, of Silver Creek was charged Sunday with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana. It is alleged that Catalino shoved another person and caused damage to the victim’s home. It is also alleged that Catalino prevented the victim from calling the police by taking the victim’s phone. While being taken into custody, Catalino was in possession of marijuana. He was committed to the county jail in lieu of bail and will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.

POMFRET-Dennis A. Bouquin, 35, was charged Sunday with DWI and aggravated DWI. At 12:52 a.m., deputies checked the well-being of a driver on the side of the road. The driver-Bouquin-was allegedly intoxicated. He will appear in Pomfret Court at a later date.

ELLERY-Adam E. Greenwald, 39, of Lakewood was charged Saturday with moving from lane unsafely and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At 8:20 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office and the Maple Springs Fire Department responded to a vehicle rollover on Route 430 near Chedwell Road. It is alleged that Greenwald was traveling southeast on Route 430 when he traveled off the road, struck a ditch and rolled over into a fence. Greenwald was taken to WCA Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.

RIPLEY-Robert F. Young, 47, of Ripley was charged Thursday with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Young pushed another individual on April 26. He will appear in Ripley Court at a later date.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

OLEAN-Richard L. Barnett Jr., 23, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was charged Friday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. It is alleged that Barnett had one gram of heroin, 23.9 grams of cocaine, methadone, Xanax and marijuana inside his vehicle. He was committed to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $50,000. The task force was assisted by Olean Street Crime, Olean Police Department and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Paul Martinez, 50, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with petit larceny. At 4:19 p.m. officers were dispatched to 7-Eleven at 1011 E. Second St. for a shoplifting complaint. Upon investigation, it was determined that Martinez had allegedly shoplifted several items of merchandise. Officers were able to locate Martinez in the surrounding area, and he was taken into custody. Martinez was transported to Jamestown City Holding Facility, where his arraignment is pending.

Robert J. Rosengren, 34, of Lakewood received multiple charges Saturday. At 5:13 p.m., officers observed an SUV operating at a high rate of speed on West Third Street in Jamestown. After a short investigation, it is alleged that the driver, Rosengren, was found to be intoxicated. Rosengren was charged with speed in zone, speed not reasonable or prudent, driving while intoxicated, felony DWI for having a prior conviction within the past 10 years, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle without interlock device. Rosengren was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident, where he was held pending arraignment.

Terrie J. Woodruff, 41, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, inadequate brake lights and fugitive from justice. At 11:25 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with inadequate brake lights in the area of Winsor and Chandler streets. The driver was identified as Woodruff, and a check of her license showed it to be suspended. Woodruff was detained, and a National Crime Information Center check showed her to have warrants out of Warren County, Pennsylvania. She was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident, where she was charged accordingly.

Carl L. Settle, 41, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with criminal obstruction of breathing after police responded to a Lakeview street address for a domestic incident. On arrival, the victim of the dispute reported that Settle had allegedly obstructed her breathing. Settle was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was charged accordingly, and is being held without bail.

Eddie Ortiz, 20, Jonathan Cruz-Garcia, 32, and Obryan Ramos, 27, all of Jamestown, were charged with first-degree robbery among other charges Saturday. At 8:05 p.m., officers responded to a reported fight on Newland Avenue near Baker Street. Calls were received that a vehicle had struck a stop sign, and people were fighting while armed with weapons. A black Honda Civic reportedly fled the area with three suspects. Investigation determined that the three defendants caused the 20-year-old victim to stop his car on Newland Avenue, where he was allegedly attacked and threatened with a weapon. A sum of money was also reported to have been taken in the robbery. The suspect vehicle was located minutes later by officers. All three occupants were taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. In addition to first-degree robbery, Ortiz was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, Cruz-Garcia was charged with several outstanding bench warrants and traffic infractions, and Ramos was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be forthcoming. All three defendants were arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

Area Police Reports

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Alejandro Acevedo, 19, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. At 8:19 a.m., police responded to a 208 Broadhead Ave. residence for a violent domestic dispute in progress. Acevedo allegedly fled from police out the back door of the residence, and was taken into custody a short distance away. A female victim alleged that Acevedo assaulted her, damaged property, stole property from her and took a phone from her when she tried to call 911. The assault allegedly occurred in the presence of a child. Acevedo was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

Alan D. Feeney, 55, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with petit larceny. At 6:18 p.m., officers patrolling the Foote Avenue plaza observed a man pushing a shopping cart full of alcoholic beverages. The officers allegedly recognized the man-Feeney- from a shoplifting incident the previous day. Officers determined from surveillance video that Feeney allegedly stole the alcohol from the store. Feeney reportedly entered the store again and filled his shopping cart with steaks. He was taken into custody in the parking lot and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Randall G. Olson, 54, of Falconer was charged April 22 with second-degree menacing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. It is alleged that Olson threatened a victim with a large hunting knife at a West James Street residence in Falconer. Olson was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

Lavern P. Carlson, 82, of Falconer was charged on April 22 with second-degree sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. It is alleged that Carlson had inappropriate contact with a juvenile female for a period of time. Carlson will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HARMONY-Jennifer M. Nagy, 29, of Falconer was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. At 12:22 a.m., deputies were investigating a suspicious situation on Open Meadows Road in Harmony. It is alleged that Nagy had a small quantity of marijuana. She will appear in Harmony Court next month.

Sarah M. Stilson, 33, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal use of a public benefit card, misuse of food stamps and petit larceny. While working on an unrelated welfare fraud case, investigators reviewed food stamp transactions at various grocery stores in the area and compared them to the stores’ video surveillance. It is alleged that Stilson was using a public benefit card that did not belong to her. Stilson was not currently active for benefits, but she is alleged to have purchased a benefit card from someone who was on benefits and used the card herself. This is the first arrest in an ongoing investigation into food stamp trafficking by the Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Health and Human Services Program Integrity Unit.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SALAMANCA-John M. Abrams Jr., 30, of Salamanca was charged Monday on a Family Court warrant issued by Cattaraugus County. He was remanded to the county jail with bail set at $1,500. He will appear in Family Court at a later date.

PERRYSBURG-Jeremiah A. Bednarek, 33, of Gowanda was charged Wednesday on a violation of probation warrant issued from the Perrysburg Court. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $3,000 bail. He will appear in Perrysburg Court at a later date.

DAYTON-Kevin M. Pierce, 27, of Gowanda was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault after an alleged incident Monday in Dayton. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He will appear in Dayton Court at a later date. In connection with the same incident, Andrew C. Knopf, 26, of Dayton was charged Thursday with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was taken to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 bail and will appear in Dayton Court at a later date.

YORKSHIRE-William L. Phillips, 29, of Yorkshire was charged April 16 with trespass and second-degree criminal contempt after an alleged complain at the Dollar General store in Yorkshire. Phillips will appear in Yorkshire Court at a later date.

LITTLE VALLEY-Chelsey L. Green, 21, of Little Valley was charged April 21 on a violation of probation warrant issued out of Randolph Court. She was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 property bond. She will appear in Randolph Court at a later date.

ASHFORD-Nileshkumar Bhavsar, 46, of Bramton, Ontario, was charged March 30 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone following a traffic stop on Route 219 in Ashford. It is alleged that after Bhavsar was pulled over for speeding, a check of his license revealed that it had previously been suspended for failure to pay a driver’s assessment fee. He will appear in Ashford Court at a later date.

OLEAN-Rodney D. Doran, 25, of Olean was charged April 8 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. It is alleged that Doran sold crack cocaine to another individual on two separate occasions earlier this year. His arrest occurred at his Garden Avenue residence in Olean by members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Olean Police Department. He was remanded to the county jail and will appear in Portville Court at a later date.
