Panama Holds Cleanup Day
Recently 23 members from the Panama community and Panama Central School gathered to help clean up the Panama community from trash and garbage that had accumulated through the winter months. Volunteers climbed over of the sidewalks and road shoulder to clean debris from ditches and fields. Dozens of garbage bags of trash were collected and disposed of throughout the village. The Village of Panama supported by providing trash bags, gloves, and safety vests. The village also provided a dumpster to dispose of all items collected. The Panama Garage also supported by disposing of four tires that were removed from ditches. Panama Methodist Church also provided refreshments and water and served as a host for the clean up effort.
