JAMESTOWN POLICE - Britney M. Nieves, 27, of Jamestown was charged with DWI and traffic violations at 5:09 a.m. Sept. 20 after officers responded to a request to check the well being of a person at Center and Crane streets. Officers arrived to find Nieves in a vehicle that had been driven off the road and gotten stuck before Nieves allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel. Nieves was charged, taken to the city jail for processing and later released to be in Jamestown City Court later. - Jordan S. FREDONIA - Fredonia is looking to discipline, and possibly suspend, a Fredonia Police Department employee over “certain allegations.” Police Chief Gregory Myers “intends to (pursue) disciplinary charges against an employee of the village police department,” according to resolutions on the agenda of the village Board of Trustees’ Sept. 28 meeting.
