Ribfest Closes Another Run In Celoron

CELORON- The 2025 Celoron Ribfest filled the air of Lucille Ball Memorial Park with the tantalizing aroma of mouthwatering barbecue ribs.
The aroma of barbecue ribs and chicken wafted through the air, mingling with the crisp scent of coleslaw and the earthy notes of baked beans. This delightful symphony of smoky flavors signaled the much-anticipated return of the annual Celoron rib cook-off, an event that brings together rib lovers for four days each year.
“It smells amazing,” is how Ellen Leake of Fredonia described the Rib Fest. “This is our fourth year coming to the event, and it never fails to meet our expectations.”
This year’s cook-off featured a diverse lineup of contestants and vendors, including After Hours BBQ, Pigfoot BBQ, Porky Chicks BBQ, and Texas Outlaw BBQ. In addition, Fowler’s Fresh Foods and other vendors were present, offering a variety of drinks, snacks, and artisanal goods. Attendees could also enjoy bounce houses and a ride-on train attraction that provided a fun experience for event attendees to enjoy.
Some of the vendors have said that the Celoron RibFest is a preferred location for them to sell their smokey-filled ribs and other barbecue delights.
During the four-day event, several artists and bands performed live music. The Dan Douglas Band played soulful songs. A Strange Kind of Sunshine energized the crowd with their unique style. Taylor Remaid wowed everyone with her beautiful voice. Smokin’ 45 got the audience excited with their dynamic performance.
