FREWSBURG – There are three opportunities to catch the Robert H. Jackson Elementary Drama Club’s production of Finding Nemo Jr. this weekend.

The show will be performed at the Frewsburg High School auditorium on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets will be for sale at the door. They are $3 for students and senior citizens and $5 for adults. The production is based on the 2003 Disney/Pixar film Finding Nemo and the book, music and lyrics were written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The book was adapted by Lindsey Anderson and the Music and Orchestration was adapted and arranged by Myrna Conn.

The musical is directed by elementary school music teacher Sandra Meerdink. She is assisted by kindergarten teacher Kim Dilts. There is art featured on the set by the sixth grade students and art teacher, Kirstie Aikman. Nemo will be played by Genevieve Bussman on Friday night; Josephine Vaughn will play Nemo on Saturday night and at the Sunday matinee they will split the role. Marlin is played by Tristan Stormer and Dory is played by Leah Pasieka. There are fun and catchy songs throughout the musical including “Just Keep Swimming”, “Go with the Flow” and “Big Blue World.”

There are more than 80 students participating in the production in third through sixth grades.
