Dunkirk Council Delays Comptroller Law

The Dunkirk Common Council decided to postpone consideration of adding a city comptroller until next week. The law needed to add the position came up on the agenda of last week’s meeting. Councilman-at-large Nick Weiser said that it was his understanding that the other council members wanted to hear more comments from the public. The council then moved to table voting on the law until its May 19 meeting. DPW Contracts On Council Agenda

Multiple contracts are up for discussion at tonight’s City Council work session for the Department of Public Works, specifically in the areas of roadwork and materials and labor. The first contract is with the Board of Public Utilities for a Roadhole contract. The BPU bid out roadhole work on March 19, that the DPW has utilized in past years.
