Pet Expo includes Subaru Loves Pets Adoption, Rescue Village

The Chautauqua County Humane Society is proud to present CCHS Pet Expo '26.

Sponsors are Supportive Divorce Solutions and Happy Hounds Hotel & Day Spa.

"Their commitment to community and animal welfare helps ensure this event continues to grow in impact and reach," Humane Society officials said in a news release.

At the center of this year's expo is the Subaru Loves Pets Adoption & Rescue Village, supported by Subaru Loves Pets, Shults Subaru, and The Shults Auto Group. This hub brings together shelters and rescues from across Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania, all united by a shared mission: helping animals find safety, healing, and new beginnings for pets.

Families will have the chance to meet adoptable dogs and cats from organizations including the Chautauqua County Humane Society, Happy Bark, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Paws Along the River, Phoenix Humane Society of Greater Cattaraugus Inc., and Small Town Shelter. With so many groups under one roof, visitors can explore a wide range of personalities, breeds, and stories, and maybe discover the pet who feels like home.

CCHS Pet Expo '26 also offers a variety of animal experiences beyond adoption. Wildlife rescue partners TSE Wildlife and Wild Creatures will provide hands-on learning opportunities, helping attendees understand how rehabilitation works, when wild animals need human intervention, and how community members can support native species. These educational moments highlight the full spectrum of animal care happening across our region.

The Subaru Loves Pets Adoption & Rescue Village embodies the spirit of collaboration that made last year's event so successful. Shelters and rescues aren't just sharing space, they're sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating the work they do every day.

Pet Expo '26 will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Northwest Arena. The Post-Journal is a media sponsor of Pet Expo '26. Tickets to CCHS Pet Expo '26 are available now at chqhumane.org.
