A neighborhood incident resulted in a lockdown of Ring Elementary and Washington Middle school Thursday afternoon. Jamestown Public Schools parents were notified recently that an incident caused both schools to be placed into lockdown, though there was no threat to student safety within the schools, according to the district. There was no disruption to school dismissal for either building. As of 2:15 p.m. the situation had been resolved.
