Frewsburg One Of Two Fire Districts Cited For Lack Of Payments

A pair of fire districts are facing the loss of future support regarding a lack of payment to Chautauqua County. The Chautauqua County Office of the County Attorney said in a news release issued Thursday that it is taking steps to resolve unpaid fees owed by the Forestville and Frewsburg Fire Districts for Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance intercepts and is preparing next actions to ensure compliance. A city man is facing weapons charges after an incident Thursday. Chris L. Freeney, 55, was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
